Splitboarding

Splitboarding with Snowboard Arlberg means real adventure. When the resort is tracked out, our guided tours take you deeper into untouched terrain, where fresh powder and peaceful nature await. The beauty of splitboarding is that you’ll often find surprisingly good snow. Far from the crowds, you’ll enjoy alpine scenery and pick your line on the way down.
What are the advantages of booking a guide?
Our experienced guides ensure you get the most out of your day safely and efficiently. They assess avalanche conditions, find the best snow, plan the route, and manage time so you can focus on riding. With Snowboard Arlberg, you’ll ride smarter, safer, and deeper into the backcountry.
How does a splitboard day looks like?
A typical splitboard day starts early, getting all our gear ready, boards, skins, avy equipment, and enough layers and food to last all day. We head out from the resort and start skinning uphill, moving steadily as we search for the best snow. The quiet mountains and fresh air keep us focused and energized. Once we reach the top, we take a break, check the route down, and enjoy some food with a great view. Then it’s time to drop in, enjoy the turns, and ride untouched powder. We spend the whole day out there, climbing and riding, always looking for those dream lines far from the crowds.

Is my splitboarding level good enough?

Tell us your experience and we will make up a personal planning what will suits you best. All levels are welcome.
Standard equipment for a splitboard tour consists of a splitboard with skins, bindings and telescope poles. Not to forget the avalanche safety (Shovel, probe and beacon) in a Backpack.
Without one of these materials mentioned above, a splitboarding tour is not possible. If you don’t have a splitboard or avalanche safety, ask Snowboard Arlberg and we will help you to find one.
